DJ Suro: Hamburg hip-hop veteran with global impact. Grew up with the Rote Flora and northern German weather. Deeply rooted in the Schanze district and its record stores. At home on turntables around the globe since 1996. A highly respected digger, DJ, and producer. The beat wizard blends his immense rap-funk-soul vinyl collection into an unmistakable sound and injects it with technical finesse and his own productions, giving it that respect-digger DNA – the resulting freestyle mix sets standards for quality and gets straight into your bones. Suro toured with Dendemann for years and has supported artists such as Talib Kweli, Kurtis Blow, Biz Markie, Grandmaster Flash, Nneka, Dilated Peoples, Diamond D, Beatsteaks, Samy Deluxe, Lyn Collins & Martha High, Blow-Fly, and Jan Delay on stages large and small throughout Europe. From 2014 to 2020, he was resident DJ at the internationally renowned Mojo Club on Hamburg's Reeperbahn and, quite casually, breathed new life into the German rap scene with the next generation of rappers.

He demonstrates his flair for refined and rich sound in numerous self-produced works and band projects. Suro is the live DJ for the Hamburg bands Superbad and Brixton Boogie. With his project Pitch&Scratch, he has released two successful albums and, as producer of Seanie-T, has just delivered another sound milestone. Legends such as Roots Manuva, Rodney P, The Freestylers, and Chezidek are featured on the current album.

Suro is also currently remixing his way through the German rap scene and producing for international artists such as Dann-I from Jamaica and Brazen Rule from Uganda.

The first solo album 'Connecting' is in about to be released and will surprise listeners with its diversity.
